About the Recipe
Every Halloween party needs a spooky drink, and this Vampire’s Blood Punch is perfect. It’s delicious, visually striking, and can easily be adapted to be kid-friendly or spiked for the adults.
Ingredients
4 cups cranberry juice
2 cups pomegranate juice
1 litre lemon-lime soda or ginger ale
1 cup orange juice
2 cups vodka (optional for adults)
Ice cubes (consider using a latex glove to create a hand-shaped ice mould)
Red food colouring (optional for added effect)
Gummy vampire teeth or plastic spiders for garnish
Preparation
Prepare the punch: In a large punch bowl, mix the cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, and orange juice. Stir well.
Add the fizz: Just before serving, add the lemon-lime soda or ginger ale for a fizzy effect. If you’re making the adult version, stir in the vodka at this point.
Create the ice hand: Fill a latex glove with water, tie it off, and freeze it overnight. Once frozen, peel away the glove and float the ice hand in the punch for an eerie, spooky touch.
Add special effects: If desired, add a few drops of red food colouring for a deeper blood-red colour.
Garnish: Throw in gummy vampire teeth or plastic spiders for decoration and serve the punch in clear cups to show off the vibrant colour.
Tip: If you want a non-alcoholic version, just skip the vodka and add extra fruit juice or sparkling water for some extra fizz.
